Antonio Galvez was ejected from the Santiago Bernabeu after his gesture was seen on television (Movistar)

A Real Madrid supporter has denied giving a Nazi salute during the Champions League game against Benfica at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday night.

Antonio Galvez’s gesture was caught on television and he was ejected from the stadium by security shortly after kick-off.

Madrid condemned Galvez’s actions and are now looking to ban him from attending future matches at the Bernabeu.

A statement from Madrid read: ‘Real Madrid CF announces that it has urgently requested the club’s Disciplinary Committee to initiate immediate expulsion proceedings against the member who was caught on television cameras making the Nazi salute in the area where the Supporters’ Stand is located, moments before the start of the match between Real Madrid and Benfica.

‘This member was located by club security personnel moments after he appeared on the broadcast and was immediately expelled from the Santiago Bernabeu stadium.

‘Real Madrid condemns these types of gestures and expressions that incite violence and hatred in sport and in society.’

On Thursday, Galvez posted a video via EsDiario in which he said his ‘conscience is clear’ and defended his character by claiming he has adopted two black children and dresses up in women’s clothing.

‘Normally when I go to a football match I do this, I do this [different gestures], another day I will put my hand on my balls, another day I put it on my ass… yesterday, coincidentally, I happened to do this twice and that’s it,’ Galvez said.

‘I’m getting all sorts of things. The truth is, I’m quite calm because my conscience is clear. It was a gesture that can happen, but to say that I belong to a Nazi group, that I should be fined up to €60,000 for making that gesture… I’m sorry, this guy here isn’t going to swallow it and let this go much further than it needs to.

‘I’m the one who’s going to talk to the club members, the club isn’t going to kick me out. Now they will, of course, because someone has to pay, and it’ll be me.

‘By the way, regarding the Nazi thing, thank God, I don’t have a problem with the people of Huelva because they already know me.

‘Look, Nazis don’t hang out with black people, they don’t hang out with gay people, they don’t dress as women. Well, here’s the Nazi, so there is something I disagree with.

‘This Nazi here has adopted two black people, Kalu and Abdu, and anyone who wants to can call them right now, they have their Toni here for whatever they need, because before being called a Nazi, as some want to call me, I always appeal to common sense.

‘There’s no guy who likes a gay more than Toni. A gay person married me because I chose him. This guy here dresses as a woman, puts on lipstick, and goes to El Rocio. I have six flamenco dresses, not one, not two, not three, six flamenco dresses. I’m dying to get to El Rocio and have a party, because I love it. Here’s the Nazi.

‘Until yesterday, I thought Nazi was a brand of gin. This weekend, since we’re going to El Rocio, I said, ‘let’s take two bottles of Nazi,’ but apparently, Nazi isn’t a brand of gin. So, I apologise because I have no other choice, although I still don’t know why, but oh well. They’ve nominated me to be kicked out of the club, that’s it, they’ve nominated me.’
