Leaks continue to pour out, revealing interesting detailed about what we can really expect from the iPhone 18 Pro versions launching in September, and it appears like Dark Cherry will be the star of the show for both the Pro and Pro Max. This deep, rich wine-red color is a stark contrast to the brighter colors that have been popular in recent years, but it still looks fresh and attracts attention.
Light Blue is available in a softer form that looks quite similar to the Mist Blue on the normal iPhone 17. Dark Gray is a simple neutral option that remains understated while still looking polished. Silver completes the group and looks equally as clean and elegant as previous generations, while Black appears to be kept back from the first introduction due to previous difficulties with surface wear on dark finishes.

Design-wise, they don’t deviate too far from the present generation, but there are a few minor changes that add up. The primary body is still aluminum, the glass back merges in more seamlessly than before, eliminating the noticeable two-tone split effect, and Dynamic Island is reduced by around 35%, resulting in more usable screen space at the top. The camera bump is more integrated this time, so it feels like one solid piece rather than a collection of distinct parts.

The Pro Max’s thickness has increased by less than one percent, and this is only to accommodate a larger battery. However, you would not notice the difference in real life. For the first time, the main rear lens has variable aperture, which allows it to open or close according on how light the conditions are, making a significant difference when it comes to producing sharper images.

All of these changes have resulted in renders that appear to be straight from the factory floor, but it’s all still very much up for grabs, as supply chain contacts shared the information only yesterday, so Apple has time to make some last-minute tweaks before they go into mass production. The release date remains September, as usual, giving us plenty of time to consider our options once the official images are out.
