Razer released the Hammerhead V3 HyperSpeed wireless earbuds today, and it’s clearly a step above from the previous generation. Noise cancellation has been significantly improved. Hybrid active noise cancellation now removes 50% more ambient noise than before. Battery life has also been extended, with up to 10 hours of battery life on a single charge, up from 6.5 hours on the previous model, and that’s assuming you disable all of the fancy features like lighting effects and noise reduction. When you add in the carrying case, which has a USB-C connector for recharging, you get a total runtime of 40 hours, which is enough to get you through many days of mixed use before you need to plug it back in for a charge.

With the built-in SmartSwitch technology, you can easily switch between the two modes with a tap of the earbuds or a fast flick in the app, eliminating unpleasant interruptions when switching between console games and phone calls.

Spatial audio support is finally available for PC users thanks to THX certification and Razer Synapse 4. The Hammerhead V3 HyperSpeed costs $130, but it’s currently available. If you just want the Bluetooth version without the dongle, the V3 X costs $100. It’s slightly less powerful, but it still gets the job done; just don’t expect the same battery life or latency performance.
