Cheltenham Festival LIVE: Gold Cup latest results, tips and winners from Day 4
The Cheltenham Festival 2026 is back for the final day as Inothewayurthinkin attempts to make it back-to-back wins in the Gold Cup.
The Gavin Cromwell-trained horse shocked Galopin Des Champs at Prestbury Park last year, but faces a tall order in what should be an open race.
Plenty of support has gone behind The Jukebox Man, owned by former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp, while Gaelic Warrior, Jango Bai and Haiti Couleurs will also be in the mix.
Prior to that, several other races, including the Triumph Hurdle and Mares’ Chase, should provide plenty of drama in the build-up to Friday’s main event.
Metro’s LIVE blog will bring you all the latest odds, betting tips, race action and final results throughout Gold Cup day:
Live Feed
Betting tips: 3.20 – Albert Novices’ Hurdle
Speaking to Paddy Power, Ruby Walsh said: ‘Doctor Steinberg has obvious claims, but this is a race that can throw up some big-priced winners. I’m siding with ESPRESSO MILAN, who should really enjoy this step up in trip with a strong gallop. He’s the value selection.’
Betting tips: 2.40 – Mrs Paddy Power Mares’ Chase
Speaking to Paddy Power, racing legend Ruby Walsh said: ‘DINOBLUE looks rock solid for my money. She was excellent when winning this race last year, and has had an ideal preparation to defend her crown. I can’t see beyond her!’
Betting tips: 2.00 – William Hill County Handicap Hurdle
Speaking to Paddy Power, racing legend Ruby Walsh said: ‘He might not be a ’State Man’, but KARBAU ran really well behind Glen Kiln in the Limestone Lad Hurdle.
‘The forecast rain will suit him more than his stablemate Murcia, and that may have swayed Paul Townend’s decision to make him his only handicap ride of the week. He’s got a really good chance.’
Betting tips: 1.20 – JCB Triumph Hurdle
Speaking to Paddy Power, racing legend Ruby Walsh said: ‘I’m a fan of PROACTIF, who seems to have improved markedly since his win at Fairyhouse on his Irish debut.
‘The same could be said for Macho Man, who followed him home that day, but Proactif should be good enough to give JP McManus another winner.’
Day Four Betting Tips
Right, it’s that time of the day. Let’s give you some tips for the upcoming races.
The punters begin to arrive
Prestbury Cup latest
A win for Mullins in the Gold Cup would also be a huge help to the Irish in the Prestbury Cup.
The annual battle between the British and Irish trainers has been one-way traffic over recent years, but Ireland only holds a slender 11-10 lead going into the final day.
All to play for.
Can Mullins equal Gold Cup record?
The legendary Irish trainer has one of the favourites, Gaelic Warrior, in today’s Gold Cup. Another victory in the race would see him equal Tom Dreaper’s record of five Gold Cup wins
No pressure…
