Honda owners who have been holding onto their first-generation NSXs for what seems like decades now have a cause to continue. Acura has recently announced the launch of the Honda Heritage Parts program in the United States, a direct effort to bring reproduction components for the renowned 1991-2005 supercar to market. It all starts this summer with Acura locations around the country.

The program is part of Honda’s broader Heritage Works strategy, a global effort to sustain older high-performance cars. In Japan, you can get both parts and even full factory restoration beginning April 1, 2026, but in the United States, it’s all about parts for the time being.

There are two types of parts available: Genuine Honda Reproduction components, which effectively copy the originals to the letter, providing factory correct replacements. Then there are Honda Compatible Parts, which are completely new pieces created with modern materials and techniques in the event that the originals are no longer in production. Both cover all of the necessities, including the motor, suspension, electricals, interior components, and body panels.

You can only order parts from Acura dealers, which is how current Acura and Honda parts are distributed. You won’t know exactly what parts are available or how much they’ll cost until the thing premieres in the summer, when Honda promises to reveal all the specifics. Expect to see new components introduced over time as things progress.

Steven Bailey, Acura’s vice president of parts, service, and technical operations, commented on the timing, given Acura’s 40th anniversary. He described the program as a significant approach to assist owners who do not want to see their NSXs rust away, ensuring that these vehicles remain on the road and may be passed down to future generations. This is a huge event for American NSX owners since it means they can now acquire factory-supported parts after years of having to go overseas or to aftermarket vendors. The supply chain will now be significantly shorter.

Honda has also hinted that it is considering additional classic performance vehicles, such as the S2000 and early Integra Type R, but has yet to announce when they will begin work on them. Nonetheless, what they do with the NSX establishes a fairly clear pattern for how they intend to approach historic vehicles.
