Magician Justin Flom’s Las Vegas Fun House is One Big Trick

Justin Flom’s Las Vegas home is a true one-of-a-kind masterpiece, a real breathing reflection of his career in magic, with something unexpected around every corner. He created the entire building himself, transforming a typical house into a seriously off-the-wall playground of secret passages and faulty mechanics, and guests can see right away that nothing behaves as you’d normally expect.
Start with the master bedroom, and things become quite wild straight away, because the room has a large foam pit that takes up a lot of area and acts as both a bed and a crash zone for individuals taking the big jump. Flom is always tweaking the setup, considering it as an ongoing experiment in how to have a fun time. Then, when you walk down, you get to use an auto belay system on the stairs, which allows you to choose how quickly you descend while also keeping you safe from splats.

Then there’s the laundry situation, which goes above and beyond to get the kids excited: a chute down the middle with a fireman’s pole running through it, and kids slide down on a pile of dirty clothes, making a chore into a fun little drop. On the stairs, there is also a netted loft with space to hang while playing and keeping a watch on everything happening on below.
Things become much crazier in the bathroom. There’s a particular wall where they keep the toilet paper rolls perfectly arranged, which often surprises guests. Dig a little deeper, though, and you’ll discover the actual surprise is in the Dr Pepper corridor, which is a narrow route that ends in nothing as you’d expect, but push the appropriate area and a door swings open into the movie room, which is reminiscent of an old Blockbuster store. Every time you use that hidden panel, you get a new sense of thrill.
Some trapdoors simply fall out of the ground. You have secret doors leading into the kids’ bedrooms all throughout the place, such as a complete row of doorknobs on one wall, but not all of them lead somewhere helpful; you must determine which one does. Walls swing open, rooms connect via secret tunnels, and in some parts, the floor is coated in pennies, which initially appears tacky but works well. Then there’s the soda machine, which conceals another area that opens up to a full-fledged disco with another secret door for egress.

Justin isn’t slowing down either; he’s already purchased the house next door and has big plans to build even more stuff to make the whole property Fun House 2.0. His present setup already attracts audiences from all over; friends, family, and the internet gang all have the same expression on their faces when they discover something new.
