Who are the Channel 4 Winter Paralympic presenters, pundits and commentators?
The Winter Paralympics get underway on Friday night with more than 600 athletes from 50 countries competing for glory across the nine days of action.
Team GB’s squad of 25 athletes will be looking to take inspiration from their Olympic counterparts, who returned from Italy with five medals – three of them gold – in what was one of their most successful Winter Olympic campaigns in history.
Beijing 2022 saw Great Britain win six medals with Neil Simpson’s gold in the visually-impaired super-G just the third time Britain has stood on the top step of the podium in Winter Paralympic history.
Simpson returns for the Milano Cortina Games aiming to defend his Paralympic title on the ski slopes, whilst the likes of alpine skier Menna Fitzpatrick and snowboarder Ollie Hill will be hoping to contribute towards Great Britain’s medal haul.
Channel 4 will be the place to be for UK viewers wanting to tune in to catch a glimpse of the action, with the broadcaster’s collection of pundits, presenters and commentators guiding us through the drama on the snow and ice.
Channel 4’s Paralympics team
Channel 4’s live daily TV coverage will be fronted by Billy Monger and Ed Jackson.
Former racing driver Monger has made a name for himself in the world of TV since he was involved in a horrific crash in an F4 race in 2017, which resulted in both of his legs being amputated.
Monger, who is a regular on Channel 4’s coverage of F1, has also appeared on Celebrity Race Across the World and holds the record for the fastest time to complete an Ironman World Championship triathlon.
Jackson, meanwhile, is a former professional rugby union player whose career was ended when he broke his neck in a swimming pool accident in 2017.
Like Monger, Jackson has also ventured into TV and has been involved in Channel 4’s coverage of rugby and the dog show, Crufts.
Ade Adepitan, wheelchair basketball legend-turned broadcast veteran, will be tasked with presenting coverage of Channel 4’s daily highlights show.
The punditry team will consist of Dame Sarah Storey, Alice Tai and Sean Rose.
Storey is the most successful British Paralympian of all time with a staggering 30 medals – including 19 golds – to her name across Para-swimming and Para-cycling.
Tai is a three-time Paralympic gold medallist in Para-swimming, whilst Rose is a Winter X Games medallist and double Winter Paralympian in Para-skiing.
Former Para-skier Jade Etherington, who won three silvers and a bronze at the 2014 Paralympics in Sochi, will be on hand to offer her expertise in the commentary box.
