SEGA’s Mega Drive, Saturn and Dreamcast Just Became Watches You Can Actually Wear

Fans of SEGA’s classic hardware finally have a new way to keep those machines close. SuperGroupies has partnered with the company on a trio of official wristwatches that recreate the Mega Drive, SEGA Saturn and Dreamcast in wearable form. Each one pulls specific details from the original consoles and their controllers, then packs them into a 42mm stainless steel case that looks ready for daily use.

Reservations for the watches opened on August 5, 2026 and will only last until the end of the month. Those in Japan can expect to receive their new watch by early February of 2027. On the other side, buyers in the United States will have to wait until April of the same year for shipping to arrive. Japanese consumers will pay 27,500 yen plus tax, while Americans would pay $319.99.

Every watch has a brass face covered by mineral glass, a dependable Miyota 2039 quartz movement that lasts around 3 years on a single battery, and a stainless steel bracelet that matches the dial. In terms of water resistance, each watch can withstand 5 ATM, so you can wear it in the rain or do a few hand washings without fear of it being waterlogged. We’ve also gone the extra mile with the case backs, which feature carved emblems from the console that match. Finally, the packaging is identical to the original retail boxes, with the same colors and graphics that formerly adorned the shelves.

Let’s start with the Mega Drive model, which has a clear cartridge slot right at the top of the dial, a reset button for good measure, and the distinctive “16-BIT” lettering that screams Mega Drive. There’s a power lamp detail nearby, and the lower half of the dial is reminiscent of the control pad, replete with familiar buttons and directional components. The entire design is dark and robust, similar to the original black hardware that brought us all those classic 16-bit games.

Next, we have the Saturn model. This one is designed with the console’s distinctive shape and button layout in mind, with the logo prominently displayed at 12 o’clock on the dial. A power button is located at position 9, along with the open and reset controls that many Saturn enthusiasts are familiar with and enjoy. Down at the bottom, there’s a cluster of controller buttons that anyone who’s used the actual thing will recognize right away. As an added bonus, the presentation box for this model replicates the gold finish of the original Japanese Saturn packaging, and if you really want to go all out, there’s even a version with a metal strap that’s a little more nostalgic.

Last but not least, we have the Dreamcast model, which retains the clean white and gray aesthetic of SEGA’s final home console. The disc lid image takes center stage on the upper dial, with power and open buttons prominently displayed on both sides. At the bottom, you’ll find a cluster of controller face buttons and a simplified stick that will transport you back to the day the Dreamcast first arrived, and just to make things feel a little more authentic, the box for this model is a near-identical recreation of the original Japanese packaging.

The construction and size of the watches are very much the same across the board, so it really comes down to which console brings up the most memories for you.
