Andy Murray has made his return to tennis coaching and is set to work with fellow Brit Jack Draper over the grass court season.<\/p>\n

Draper has endured a torrid spell with injuries over the last year and is currently recovering from a knee injury, which ruled him out of the French Open.<\/p>\n

The 24-year-old has dropped to 50th in the world rankings but is eyeing a return at the HSBC Championships at the Queen\u2019s Club in June prior to Wimbledon.<\/p>\n

And in his bid to hit the ground running on grass, Draper has recruited Murray, a two-time Wimbledon champion, to be a part of his team. <\/p>\n

Jamie Delgado, a former coach of Murray who has been working with Draper since last October, will leave the team.<\/p>\n

\u2018I am very grateful for everything Jamie Delgado has done for me over these past six months,\u2019 Draper said in a statement.<\/p>\n

\u2018He is a world-class coach and a great man. In the interim, I will continue to be supported by the excellent team at the LTA with the addition of Andy Murray, who will be supporting me throughout the grass court season.\u2019<\/p>\n

For Murray, the coaching gig will be his first formal post since his surprise link-up with Novak Djokovic shortly after his retirement in August 2024.<\/p>\n

The Scot helped Djokovic beat Carlos Alcaraz as he reached the Australian Open semi-finals later that year, but the duo split in May 2025 following a poor run of results for the legendary Serb.<\/p>\n

Murray has not coached since and told The Athletic last month: \u2018My priorities are lying elsewhere just now, but I would do it again in the future.<\/p>\n

\u2018I do like the idea of helping a much younger player, a little bit like \u2014 not that I would expect it to turn out like this \u2014 the (Juan Carlos) Ferrero-(Carlos) Alcaraz relationship. <\/p>\n

\u2018A younger player that you\u2019re really able to help and have a really positive influence on. I would find something like that quite interesting but certainly not right now.\u2019<\/p>\n

At 24, Draper has already shown his potential when he reached the US Open semi-finals in 2024, followed by victory at Indian Wells the following year.<\/p>\n

But the left-handed Brit has struggled to produce his best on grass and particularly at Wimbledon, where he is yet to progress past the second round.<\/p>\n
