Real Madrid have no intention of selling Aurelien Tchouameni to Manchester United this summer, according to reports.<\/p>\n

United are in the market for at least one new central midfielder in the summer transfer window with Adam Wharton,\u00a0Elliot Anderson, Carlos Baleba and Sandro Tonali all on the club\u2019s shortlist.<\/p>\n

Tchouameni, who joined Madrid in a \u20ac100 million (\u00a385.3m) deal from Monaco four years ago, is also on United\u2019s radar.<\/p>\n

However, FootMercato reports that Tchouameni is considered \u2018indispensable\u2019 by Madrid and the Spanish club are not looking to sell the midfielder.<\/p>\n

The report adds that Madrid are even looking to extend Tchouameni\u2019s contract, which has just two years left to run.<\/p>\n

Speaking this week, Rio Ferdinand endorsed United\u2019s interest in Tchouameni but doubted whether the Madrid midfielder would be a realistic option this summer.<\/p>\n

\u2018Tchouameni would be great but is he available? I don\u2019t know if he\u2019s available. His experience is huge,\u2019 Ferdinand said on his YouTube channel.<\/p>\n

\u2018I think he speaks English as well, so that\u2019s not an issue. I think he\u2019s a fantastic footballer.<\/p>\n

\u2018I remember the game France-England in a tournament, I think it was Qatar. He was majestic. He was strong. He was commanding. He\u2019s played in huge games. He has the experience. So I wouldn\u2019t worry about him, I\u2019d be very happy to get him.<\/p>\n

\u2018Baleba has got huge potential but has had a bit of a dip this season from where he was the season before.<\/p>\n

\u2018Anderson I think would be a great signing. Again, Premier League proven, great energy, I think there can be huge improvements, his ceiling is quite high, I think there is more to come from him that you can get out of him at Man United. I think Michael Carrick would be a great tutor for him as well.<\/p>\n

\u2018It\u2019s going to be difficult. Who is available \u2013 let\u2019s go from there.\u2019<\/p>\n
