Gary Lineker has named the key player for Arsenal as they look to clinch the Premier League title and win the Champions League.<\/p>\n

Mikel Arteta\u2019s side returned to the top of the Premier League with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Newcastle United on Saturday.<\/p>\n

The Gunners were the heavy favourites to win the title just a few weeks ago but back-to-back defeats, the second against title title rivals Manchester City, blew the race wide open.<\/p>\n

A clash with Eddie Howe\u2019s Newcastle could have been another banana skin for Arsenal but they clinched an important victory thanks to Eberechi Eze\u2019s early goal.<\/p>\n

England legend Lineker was impressed by not only Eze\u2019s contribution against Newcastle but also his post-match interview in which he said he was \u2018loving\u2019 being part of a title-chasing team.<\/p>\n

Lineker says Arsenal \u2018need more players like Eze\u2019 given the nervousness in the squad and suggested he should \u2018take the team talks\u2019 instead of Arteta during the run-in.<\/p>\n

\u2018You\u00a0have\u00a0to\u00a0give Eberechi Eze a lot of credit because that was a gorgeous finish,\u2019 Lineker said on The Rest is Football podcast. \u2018I\u00a0saw\u00a0his\u00a0post-match interview and he\u2019s\u00a0so\u00a0relaxed.<\/p>\n

\u2018And\u00a0you\u00a0just\u00a0think\u00a0to\u00a0yourself,\u00a0maybe\u00a0put\u00a0him\u00a0in charge\u00a0of\u00a0this! In that interview he just said, \u201cno, I\u2019m not nervous, I just love playing football, it\u2019s great and I want to be in this position\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u2018That is absolutely the right attitude.\u00a0It\u2019s\u00a0obviously easy to speak like that when\u00a0you\u2019ve\u00a0just bent one into the top corner and scored a hugely important goal.<\/p>\n

\u2018But I see it like\u00a0that,\u00a0that\u2019s\u00a0how it should be for these players.\u00a0I still think Arsenal\u00a0look so edgy, they need more players like Eberechi Eze.<\/p>\n

\u2018I\u00a0said\u00a0early\u00a0on\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0game\u00a0that\u00a0the\u00a0one\u00a0person\u00a0who\u00a0looks\u00a0really\u00a0relaxed\u00a0at the\u00a0moment\u00a0is\u00a0Eze.<\/p>\n

\u2018I\u00a0think\u00a0his\u00a0interviews\u00a0after\u00a0the\u00a0game,\u00a0so\u00a0relaxed,\u00a0so\u00a0calm,\u00a0and\u00a0he\u00a0exudes\u00a0confidence\u00a0and\u00a0he\u2019s\u00a0just\u00a0said, \u201cthis\u00a0is\u00a0beautiful\u00a0and\u00a0this\u00a0is\u00a0what\u00a0we\u00a0want\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u2018I\u00a0loved\u00a0that,\u00a0I thought it was such a great interview.\u00a0Maybe he\u00a0should take the team\u00a0talks\u00a0over the next few weeks\u2026\u2019<\/p>\n

Newcastle legend Alan Shearer also noticed Arsenal\u2019s \u2018nerves\u2019 in Saturday\u2019s game and claimed Arteta\u2019s side were \u2018there for the taking\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u2018If\u00a0only\u00a0the\u00a0rest\u00a0of\u00a0his\u00a0teammates\u00a0felt\u00a0like\u00a0that\u00a0because\u00a0there\u2019s\u00a0no\u00a0way\u00a0they\u2019re feeling as relaxed as he is because they were there for the taking, Shearer said.<\/p>\n

\u2018Newcastle\u00a0should\u00a0have\u00a0got\u00a0something\u00a0out\u00a0of\u00a0that\u00a0game.\u00a0Arsenal\u00a0were there for the taking.<\/p>\n

\u2018Strangely, I\u00a0watched\u00a0the\u00a0Arsenal game last week against Man City and I watched the Arsenal game against Newcastle and I was more hopeful of them winning the league after losing last week than I was after watching them win on Saturday.<\/p>\n

\u2018Just because of how nervy and edgy they were against Newcastle, a team that were in rotten form.<\/p>\n

\u2018But\u00a0they\u2019ve\u00a0won\u00a0the\u00a0game\u00a0and\u00a0that\u2019s\u00a0the\u00a0most\u00a0important\u00a0thing.\u00a0That\u2019s\u00a0what\u00a0they\u00a0have\u00a0to\u00a0do\u00a0somehow\u00a0from\u00a0now\u00a0until\u00a0the\u00a0end\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0season.<\/p>\n

\u2018They\u2019re\u00a0in\u00a0there\u00a0fighting\u00a0and\u00a0they\u2019re\u00a0in\u00a0there\u00a0winning.\u00a0And\u00a0that\u2019s\u00a0the\u00a0most\u00a0important\u00a0thing\u00a0from\u00a0an\u00a0Arsenal point\u00a0of\u00a0view.<\/p>\n

\u2018But\u00a0they\u00a0do look\u00a0very,\u00a0very\u00a0nervous.\u00a0They\u00a0were\u00a0there\u00a0for\u00a0the\u00a0taking\u00a0for Newcastle\u00a0and\u00a0Newcastle\u00a0weren\u2019t\u00a0able\u00a0to\u00a0do it.\u2019<\/p>\n

Arsenal\u2019s attentions now turn to the first leg of their Champions League semi-final tie against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday night.<\/p>\n

European champions PSG face German giants Bayern Munich in the other semi-final. <\/p>\n
