Khvicha Kvaratskhelia\u2019s father has shut down rumours linking the forward with Arsenal, insisting his son \u2018does not pay attention to such reports\u2019 and remains fully committed to PSG.<\/p>\n

PSG signed Kvaratskhelia from Napoli for a fee of \u00a359million back in January 2025, a deal that saw the 25-year-old become far and away the most expensive Georgian footballer in history.<\/p>\n

In that time, Kvaratskhelia has further established himself as one of the most exciting attacking talents in European football, racking up 24 goals and 17 assists in 74 appearances for the Ligue 1 giants.<\/p>\n

Over the course of an extraordinary debut season in the French capital, Kvaratskhelia helped PSG finally end their wait for the Champions League title, netting three times across the club\u2019s triumphant campaign.<\/p>\n

In total, Kvaratskhelia has lifted six pieces of silverware since arriving in Paris \u2013 and he looks on course to add to that collection over the coming weeks, with Luis Enrique\u2019s men sitting top of the league and battling it out in the semi-finals of the Champions League.<\/p>\n

The Independent claimed last month that Arsenal had been \u2018investigating\u2019 a possible deal for Kvaratskhelia, identifying the winger as a player able to bring \u2018individual creativity\u2019 to Mikel Arteta\u2019s attacking options.<\/p>\n

While PSG were said to view Kvaratskhelia as a \u2018near-unsellable\u2019 asset, the player\u2019s inner circle were reportedly \u2018open to the idea\u2019 of a move to north London.<\/p>\n

However, in a wide-ranging interview with Georgian outlet Kviris Palitra published on Monday, Kvaratskhelia\u2019s father Badri poured cold water on speculation of a possible move to the Emirates.<\/p>\n

\u2018Yes, there are often reports about the interest of Arsenal or other English clubs, but my son does not pay attention to such reports,\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n

\u2018He is an outstanding player on one of the best teams in Europe. They appreciate him, love him, play for him, and why should he think about changing clubs?<\/p>\n

\u2018Khvicha thinks only about the interests of the team, how to help the club and how to make his homeland famous.\u2019<\/p>\n

Given his son\u2019s current standing at PSG, the reigning European champions, Badri Kvaratskhelia sees no reason why the former Napoli man would even be considering his future.<\/p>\n

\u2018Khvicha plays for a very strong and successful club, where he is loved and trusted,\u2019 he added.<\/p>\n

\u2018He is one of the leading players in the club, who are the holders of the Champions League and are semi-finalists in this year\u2019s tournament. Why should he think about leaving somewhere else?\u2019<\/p>\n

He continued: \u2018If PSG no longer has the desire to continue the cooperation, we will also think about leaving.<\/p>\n

\u2018But at this stage, this topic is not even being discussed.<\/p>\n

\u2018Despite the fact that he has to compete with the leading players of the French national team, with rare exceptions, Khvicha is an unchanged member of the first-team squad and PSG\u2019s management also emphasis that he an invaluable player for the team.\u2019<\/p>\n

Speaking to Le Parisien last month, Kvaratskhelia Jr made it clear that he remained happy with life across the Channel.<\/p>\n

\u2018For me,\u00a0Paris\u00a0is truly extraordinary,\u2019 he told the French newspaper.<\/p>\n

\u2018You have everything here, and above all, this is the city of love. When PSG contacted me, I thought my wife was the happiest person in the world.<\/p>\n

\u2018Before PSG contacted me, she always said, \u201cImagine if one day we play for PSG, it would be amazing to stay there.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2018In my mind, I think it\u2019s very difficult to go there when there are great players like [Lionel] Messi, Neymar and [Kylian] Mbappe. I love everything about Paris. <\/p>\n

\u2018The more I think about it, the more I appreciate how respectful the people are there.\u2019<\/p>\n

Kvaratskhelia\u2019s current contract at the Parc des Princes runs through to June 2029.<\/p>\n
