Southampton are wearing a commemorative yellow kit without names for their FA Cup semi-final clash with Manchester City at Wembley today.<\/p>\n

The Saints have enjoyed a superb cup run this season, upsetting Fulham in the fifth round before knocking out Premier League title contenders Arsenal to book their place at Wembley.<\/p>\n

Tonda Eckert\u2019s side have been in superb form since the German took over permanently, and now find themselves in automatic promotion contention in the Championship.<\/p>\n

But they will park their league ambitions this weekend as they look to cause another cup upset and book their spot in the tournament\u2019s final at Wembley next month.<\/p>\n

Throughout their FA Cup run this season, eagle-eyed viewers would have spotted Southampton wearing a yellow kit without names on the back, instead of their usual red-and-white-stripped home kit.<\/p>\n

The kit, only worn in this competition, was released by the club to mark 50 years since Southampton won the FA Cup in 1976.<\/p>\n

The yellow and blue shirt is a modern remake of the one worn in the final against Manchester United, made with input from some of the players from the 1976 squad.<\/p>\n

Greg Baker, chief revenue officer at the club, previously said: \u2018Our 1976 FA Cup victory remains the greatest achievement in the club\u2019s history and this anniversary gives us a unique opportunity to honour the players, supporters, and traditions that define Southampton FC.\u2019<\/p>\n

The new shirt also features the signatures of the 15 players who featured in the cup campaign, as well as manager Lawrie McMenemy.<\/p>\n

Front-of-Shirt Partner P&O Cruises still features on the on-pitch kit worn by players, but fans are able to buy the commemorative kit without the branding online.<\/p>\n

Man City vs Southampton kicks off at 5.15pm this afternoon (25 April).<\/p>\n

You can watch the match live on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. It will also be broadcast live on TNT Sports 1 with streaming also available through the HBO Max app.<\/p>\n
