Anthony Joshua believes it is \u2018more than likely\u2019 that he will fight Tyson Fury next.<\/p>\n
Fury ended his 16-month retirement and returned to the ring at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday night to beat Russian heavyweight Arslanbek Makhmudov via unanimous decision.<\/p>\n
After his comeback victory, Fury directly called out Joshua who was sat ringside but refused to step in the ring to go head-to-head.<\/p>\n
\u2018Next I want to give you the fight you\u2019ve all been waiting for, I want you, Anthony Joshua, let\u2019s give the fight fans what they want,\u2019 Fury said.<\/p>\n
\u2018I challenge you Anthony Joshua to fight me, the Gypsy King, next. Do you accept my challenge?\u2019<\/p>\n
Joshua, who remained in his seat, replied: \u2018Tyson I never had no problem getting in the ring with you.<\/p>\n
\u2018I punched you up when we were kids and after watching you tonight, I\u2019ll punch you up again.<\/p>\n
\u2018With all due respect, tonight is your night and you know I\u2019ll sit across that ring from you in due time.<\/p>\n
\u2018You ain\u2019t gonna tell me what to do, I\u2019ve been chasing you for the last 10 years, when you\u2019re ready, you come and see me and tell me your terms and conditions, and I\u2019ll have you in the ring when I\u2019m ready, I\u2019m the boss, I\u2019m the landlord, remember that, you work for me.\u2019<\/p>\n
Speaking to Netflix after their ringside exchange, Joshua added: \u2018I\u2019m going to be completely honest, there\u2019s a negotiation you go through, I\u2019ve sat at this table with him many times.<\/p>\n
\u2018In my heart, I\u2019ll fight Tyson Fury tomorrow, especially after watching that, there\u2019s no problem with me fighting, this is what I do, but I\u2019m not going to sit here and say, \u2018I\u2019m fighting\u2019, I\u2019m not here to get clout.<\/p>\n
\u2018Contracts will be sent over, we\u2019ll go through the nitty gritty, and you\u2019ll probably see us in the ring next, more than likely.<\/p>\n
\u2018I\u2019m not here to start getting in the ring next and shouting in someone\u2019s face, look at my track record, I\u2019ve never done that, I\u2019m not here for clout, I wanted to watch the fight, I saw what I saw and I know what I\u2019ve got to do when I get him in the ring.\u2019<\/p>\n\n

\u2018He\u2019s the one that retired, I\u2019ve been in the game and never retired, I\u2019ve been standing strong for the last 13 years, it\u2019s on him isn\u2019t it, he disappears and comes back, I\u2019m standing strong, I\u2019m not here to chase fame or chase hype, I\u2019m a real person, I\u2019ll fight whoever is in front of me, whether it\u2019s him or the next person, it doesn\u2019t matter to me, I\u2019m always in big fights, that\u2019s just my style, that\u2019s why I said to him he works for me.\u2019<\/p>\n
Asked if he will have a warm-up fight before Fury, Joshua replied: \u2018Good question, both options, that looks like it could be a warm-up fight after what I saw tonight but we\u2019ll see.<\/p>\n
\u2018I was in a serious incident four months ago so I need to check out what\u2019s going on with my return to the ring.<\/p>\n\n

\u2018I\u2019m here, I\u2019m keeping my eye in the game, there\u2019s real stuff in my life, I\u2019m not ducking anyone, I know what my job is, I know what I need to do, but there\u2019s real stuff happening in my life that I also need to attend to, and once I\u2019m 100 per cent, I\u2019ll be ready, 100 per cent, this is what I do, I run the game, everyone knows I run the game, I\u2019m serious fighter, I\u2019m very strong as well and I think when I hit Fury I\u2019ll hurt him bad.<\/p>\n
\u2018If he\u2019s serious, you\u2019ll see him in the ring, I\u2019m a very serious person, you\u2019ll see me in the ring 100 per cent, whether it\u2019s against him or not, the ball will be in his court.<\/p>\n
\u2018I\u2019ve been here a million times, once my name and signature is on the dotted line then there\u2019s a fight, at the minute there\u2019s nothing on the dotted line, neither is his, if I\u2019m honest with you there\u2019s no fight right now. I\u2019ve been here three or four times now with Wilder and Fury, this is boring to me, I\u2019ve been here loads of times.<\/p>\n
\u2018I like his fighting style, I think he\u2019s good but I don\u2019t think he will be able to cope with me.\u2019<\/p>\n
