Aston Villa midfielder Morgan Rogers would walk into Arsenal\u2019s team next season, according to former Premier League striker Jay Bothroyd.<\/p>\n

Rogers has attracted widespread interest ahead of the summer transfer window with Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool all considering a move.<\/p>\n

The 23-year-old is understood to be open to leaving Villa at the end of the season, while the club are aware that receiving a significant fee for the England international would ease their financial pressure.<\/p>\n

Villa are demanding at least \u00a380 million for Rogers, who has 10 goals and seven assists in all competitions for Villa this season.<\/p>\n

And Bothroyd, who supports Arsenal and came through the club\u2019s academy, has urged the Gunners to beat competition from their Premier League rivals to sign Rogers.<\/p>\n

When asked which club would be the best fit for Rogers, Bothroyd told Sky Sports: \u2018Arsenal\u2026 he walks into Arsenal\u2019s team.<\/p>\n

\u2018He plays week in, week out on the left-hand side, we [Arsenal] need a player who can play on the left-hand side, he\u2019s got that in abundance.<\/p>\n

\u2018He can do it [play on the left wing], we don\u2019t want another [Gabriel] Martinelli, trust me.<\/p>\n

\u2018I feel like with [Eberechi] Eze, he\u2019s probably Arsenal\u2019s No.10, I would like to see Morgan Rogers playing there and tucking inside, I think he\u2019s a great player.<\/p>\n

\u2018When you mention Bayern Munich, I don\u2019t think Bayern Munich is the one. You\u2019ve got Luis Diaz there, he\u2019s playing unbelievably well, then you\u2019ve got [Jamal] Musiala who is coming back, Lennart Karl, who is a fantastic young player, then obviously [Michael] Olise. I don\u2019t think Rogers would fit into that if he wants to play week in, week out. PSG are a similar thing, they\u2019ve got some great attacking players.<\/p>\n

\u2018I think the one that stands out is Arsenal. Even Manchester United, maybe, but I feel they\u2019ve got [Matheus] Cunha, [Bryan] Mbeumo, [Bruno] Fernandes will probably play as a No.10 next season higher up when they sign their midfielders.<\/p>\n

\u2018I feel like Arsenal is the one where he can say, \u2018I\u2019m going there and I\u2019m going to play week in, week out\u2019.\u2019<\/p>\n
