Paul Scholes believes there is no question new Arsenal star Max Dowman should go to the World Cup and says there is not another English player with his \u2018ability\u2019.<\/p>\n

Dowman has been named as a potential bolter in England\u2019s squad for this summer\u2019s World Cup after his breakthrough at the Emirates Stadium.<\/p>\n

The midfielder became the second youngest player in Premier League history when he made his Arsenal debut at the start of the season, with only teammate Ethan Nwaneri playing in the competition at a younger age.<\/p>\n

Dowman has made a further eight appearances for Arsenal since his first-team debut, making Premier League history as the youngest ever goalscorer in the 2-0 win over Everton last month.<\/p>\n

Mikel Arteta has been understandably cautious with Dowman\u2019s game-time given he is still at school but there have still been calls for Tuchel to take the Arsenal wonderkid to the World Cup.<\/p>\n

Manchester United legend and ex-England midfielder Scholes is firmly in that camp, insisting he would pick the \u2018unbelievable\u2019 and \u2018brilliant\u2019 teenager.<\/p>\n

Speaking on The Good, The Bad & The Football podcast, Scholes, who earned 66 England caps, said: \u2018How good is Max Dowman?\u00a0He\u2019s\u00a0unbelievable.<\/p>\n

\u2018Do you think he should be in the England squad for the World Cup? Look at Spain with Lamine Yamal\u2026 get him in!<\/p>\n

\u2018We\u2019ve\u00a0not got a player like Dowman.\u00a0I think Thomas Tuchel is the type of manager who might take him. Did you see his goals for the England U20s?\u2019<\/p>\n

Tuchel is blessed with options in midfielder and in the attacking areas, with the likes of Cole Palmer, Bukayo Saka, Noni Madueke, Anthony Gordon, Marcus Rashford and Morgan Rogers all set to go to the World Cup.<\/p>\n

Asked who Dowman should be picked ahead of, Scholes added: \u2018Anyone, I\u00a0don\u2019t\u00a0care. I think\u00a0he\u2019s\u00a0brilliant. Spain would do it and Spain are successful.<\/p>\n

\u2018I would take him all day\u00a0long,\u00a0I\u00a0don\u2019t\u00a0think\u00a0there\u2019s\u00a0an English player with the ability\u00a0he\u2019s\u00a0got. He floats past people.\u2019<\/p>\n

Scholes\u2019 former teammate Rio Ferdinand also believes Dowman should be part of England\u2019s World Cup squad that travels to the United States this summer.<\/p>\n

Asked about the impact Dowman can have for club and country over the next few months, Ferdinand said on his YouTube channel: \u2018I think he\u00a0has to\u00a0go\u00a0[to the World Cup]. I think\u00a0he\u2019s\u00a0special.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2018He\u2019s\u00a0doing the same thing he did through every age group in the Premier League against grown men.\u00a0He\u2019s\u00a0been doing the same thing in training against Arsenal players who are\u00a0top of the Premier League.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2018Even the players there are going \u201cwow\u201d,\u00a0even the manager is saying\u00a0he\u2019s\u00a0not seen anything like this from a player so young.\u00a0It\u2019s\u00a0crazy.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2018Those talents\u00a0have to\u00a0go \u2013 Michael Owen went to the World Cup young and blew up the\u00a0whole world. You\u00a0have to\u00a0give these talents the experience and even if he went there and\u00a0didn\u2019t\u00a0play it would be useful for him to get used to the environment and playing at a tournament.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2018That would be hugely valuable;\u00a0we\u2019ve\u00a0seen players do that before and benefit from it.\u00a0I\u00a0didn\u2019t\u00a0play a minute at the 1998 World Cup but that experience really helped at the 2002 tournament.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2018I would love to see him go \u2013 it would be so exciting for English football.\u00a0I would 100% take him \u2013 look at Spain with Lamine Yamal,\u00a0I\u2019m\u00a0not comparing\u00a0them\u00a0but they saw a special talent and took him and then he blew\u00a0everyone\u2019s\u00a0socks off.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n

For now Dowman will hope to help boyhood club Arsenal clinch their first Premier League title since 2004 \u2013 five years before he was born.<\/p>\n

The Gunners boast a nine-point lead over second-placed Manchester City ahead of Saturday\u2019s Premier League clash against Bournemouth.<\/p>\n

Arsenal lost back-to-back games for the first time this season either side of the international break but got back to winning ways against Champions League rivals Sporting on Tuesday night.<\/p>\n
