Ray Parlour believes Frank Lampard would put his allegiances to Chelsea to one side if he was offered the job at a Premier League rival.<\/p>\n

Lampard established himself as one of Chelsea\u2019s greatest ever players during his 13-year spell at Stamford Bridge, scoring a club-record 211 goals.<\/p>\n

His time in west London coincided with a hugely successful period for Chelsea, with Lampard helping the club win three Premier League titles, fours FA Cups, two League Cups, the Europa League and Champions League.<\/p>\n

Lampard has managed Chelsea twice since hanging up his boots, first between 2021 and 2023 and then in a temporary role during the 2022-23 campaign.<\/p>\n

The 47-year-old took over at Coventry City in 2024 and has had a huge impact at the Midlands club, with the Sky Blues on the verge of sealing promotion from the Championship to the Premier League.<\/p>\n

Lampard\u2019s success at Coventry has revived speculation linking the ex-England midfielder with some top clubs, including a return to Chelsea as pressure mounts on current boss Liam Rosenior.<\/p>\n

Crystal Palace have reportedly expressed interest in hiring Lampard as the departing Oliver Glasner\u2019s replacement at the end of the season.<\/p>\n

Arsenal legend Parlour can see Lampard back in the dugout of a Premier League club and claims the Chelsea icon would accept a shock offer from Tottenham.<\/p>\n

Spurs appointed Roberto De Zerbi as their new manager last week after sacking interim boss Igor Tudor, who replaced Thomas Frank back in February.<\/p>\n

\u2018It\u2019s a job Frank Lampard couldn\u2019t turn down,\u2019 former Arsenal and England midfielder Parlour said on talkSPORT.<\/p>\n

\u2018If someone went up to him and asked him to be the Tottenham manager, he\u2019d have to take it. Even if they\u2019re in a bit of dire straits at the moment.\u2019<\/p>\n

Lampard has recently enhanced his reputation so much so that former Manchester United midfielder Nicky Butt claimed he should be a contender for the Chelsea job once again.<\/p>\n

Rosenior\u2019s role at Stamford Bridge is already under the spotlight after Chelsea were embarrassed by PSG in the Champions League and have slipped to sixth in the Premier League.<\/p>\n

Speaking on The Good, The Bad & The Football podcast, Butt said: \u2018Do you think if Frank Lampard gets promotion with\u00a0Coventry\u00a0they could go back in for Frank?<\/p>\n

\u2018He got the job too early the first time I\u00a0think\u00a0and he had the transfer\u00a0embargo\u00a0so he had to use a lot of young players.<\/p>\n

\u2018It\u00a0wouldn\u2019t\u00a0be a stupid thing to\u00a0go and get\u00a0Frank Lampard\u00a0back in charge of Chelsea for me.\u00a0He\u2019s\u00a0done\u00a0a great job\u00a0at Coventry.<\/p>\n

\u2018He\u2019s\u00a0got a bit more experience now and he\u00a0probably made\u00a0a few mistakes the first time around. People need to understand that transfer embargo means you\u00a0have to\u00a0rely on loads of young players, that must have been difficult for\u00a0him.<\/p>\n

\u2018He would be\u00a0a totally different\u00a0manager now.\u00a0I think Lampard would find it easier working with better\u00a0players,\u00a0it would be easier for him to get his messages across to more technical players.<\/p>\n

\u2018If Frank went back into Chelsea, with all the experience\u00a0he\u2019s\u00a0got now, I think he would do an amazing job, I really do.\u2019<\/p>\n

Lampard\u2019s focus is currently on Coventry\u2019s promotion push and another important fixture against bottom-placed Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.<\/p>\n
