Under-fire golfing icon Tiger Woods is facing a major make-or-break moment in his relationship with Vanessa Trump, according to those close to the couple.<\/p>\n

Sources claim that the 50-year-old\u2019s next steps will be crucial as he prepares to enter rehab following his arrest, with Woods needing to follow through on treatment if he wants their relationship to continue, Daily Mail reports.<\/p>\n

The 15-time major winner was arrested on Friday after flipping his SUV and spending around eight hours in police custody. He later confirmed he plans to \u2018step away and seek treatment\u2019.<\/p>\n

A judge has reportedly since granted Woods permission to leave Florida in order to attend a rehabilitation facility. Reports from TMZ suggest he could travel outside the United States for privacy reasons.<\/p>\n

Friends of Vanessa say that she\u2019s been very clear about what she expects exactly from his recovery.<\/p>\n

\u2018She had specific criteria,\u2019 one source said. \u2018This has to be a real rehab: doctors, counsellors. Obviously there\u2019s a big physical component\u2026 these are prescribed drugs for legitimate pain and sleeping issues. This isn\u2019t meth. So this has to be doctor supervised. It\u2019s pain management gone awry.\u2019<\/p>\n

The source continued: \u2018But she set a hard line: Fix this, and fix it permanently. She\u2019s not like other girlfriends. <\/p>\n

\u2018She required it and it was non-negotiable. And he loves her and wants to be with her, so he is willing to do it.\u2019<\/p>\n

Another person close to Vanessa said that the specific type of facility will also be a factor. \u2018She doesn\u2019t want it to be a bulls*** country club,\u2019 they said. \u2018She\u2019s not looking to send him off to bootcamp, but the rehab has to be tough love. It has to work. Long-term.\u2019<\/p>\n

They added that she will not accept repeated issues: \u2018Vanessa gives one chance for this stuff. This is it. She won\u2019t do this again.\u2019<\/p>\n

A separate source close to Woods said he has already identified a suitable facility and is expected to begin treatment soon. \u2018He found a place that can help him,\u2019 they said. \u2018It\u2019s got all the criteria he needs. I won\u2019t get into specifics, but it\u2019s a good thing. He\u2019ll be in good hands.\u2019<\/p>\n

Police said that Woods was travelling at \u2018high speeds\u2019 before the crash and \u2018showed signs of impairment\u2019 after climbing out of the passenger window of the vehicle.<\/p>\n

Although he passed a breathalyser test at the scene, according to an arrest affidavit, Woods told police he was \u2018looking down at this cell phone and changing the radio station\u2019 at the time of the crash.<\/p>\n

When officers searched him, they found two white pills in his pocket marked \u2018M367\u2019, later identified as hydrocodone, an opioid used to treat severe pain. <\/p>\n

Officers also reported that Woods was \u2018sweating profusely\u2019 and that his movements were \u2018lethargic and slow\u2019. He was also said to have been experiencing severe hiccups.<\/p>\n

The incident is the latest in a series of driving-related issues involving Woods. He was arrested for DUI in Jupiter, Florida, nine years ago. <\/p>\n

In 2021, he was involved in a serious crash in Los Angeles County, where authorities said he was driving at around 80mph.<\/p>\n

An earlier incident in 2009 saw Woods crash his car near his home, hitting a fire hydrant, a tree and hedges. <\/p>\n

Following his latest arrest, Vanessa was reportedly waiting for him when he returned home from the Martin County Public Safety Complex.<\/p>\n

The pair were then said to held lengthy discussions about the situation. \u2018She\u2019s not happy at all,\u2019 a source said. \u2018She\u2019s both disappointed and a little bit p*****<\/strong>, if I\u2019m being honest. <\/p>\n

\u2018It\u2019s a definite red flag and she told him that he\u2019s going to get this sorted out, and that she\u2019s going to require that. He has to get things under control, or she\u2019s not going to stick around.\u2019<\/p>\n
