Owen Hargreaves has urged Manchester United to consider a move for Morgan Rodgers to complete their midfield revamp this summer.<\/p>\n

With midfield an area of the pitch long-neglected at Old Trafford, another rebuild is required at the end of the season with Casemiro set to depart when his contract expires.<\/p>\n

With doubts also Manuel Ugarte\u2019s future, United could be in the market for at least two central midfielders with Elliot Anderson, Adam Wharton, Carlos Baleba and Sandro Tonali all targets.<\/p>\n

Bruno Fernandes has been in sensational form this season, returning to his favoured no10 role under Michael Carrick.<\/p>\n

The captain was the subject of a huge offer from Al-Hilal last summer, revealing in December he felt United \u2018wanted me to go\u2019 before eventually committing to another season in Manchester.<\/p>\n

There is expected to be more interest in Fernandes at the end of the current campaign and whether it is this summer or further down the line, United will need a replacement.<\/p>\n

Former United star Hargreaves is keen to seen United rebuild their midfield with English talent with Nottingham Forest star Anderson his preferred choice in midfield.<\/p>\n

Cole Palmer has been linked with a return to Manchester but Hargreaves believes United should also strongly consider a move for Aston Villa star Rodgers.<\/p>\n

\u2018If you\u2019re United, they had England\u2019s midfield and they have gone away from that,\u2019 Hargreaves told TNT Sports.<\/p>\n

\u2018They have got Kobbie. Casemiro is leaving. With Bruno, who knows how long he\u2019ll be there but if you are squad planning, you want England\u2019s future midfield.<\/p>\n

\u2018So you have Kobbie, Elliot and I would go try and get Morgan Rogers or Cole Palmer, that\u2019s who I would throw the kitchen sink at.<\/p>\n

\u2018They have a good nucleus but with Casemiro leaving, you need a defensive [midfielder] and you need a 10. But if you had Elliot, Kobbie and Morgan Rogers of Cole Palmer, you are okay for a while.\u2019<\/p>\n

United face intense competition for Anderson with Manchester City and Arsenal also weighing up moves.<\/p>\n
