Ipswich Town fans have voiced their displeasure online after Reform UK leader Nigel Farage staged a photoshoot at the club\u2019s stadium.<\/p>\n

Farage appeared at an event in Suffolk on Monday to help\u00a0launch his party\u2019s\u00a0local elections\u00a0campaign in the region.<\/p>\n

But the Clacton MP also paid a visit to Portman Road, home of Championship club Ipswich, taking photos pitchside as well as in the club\u2019s dressing room.<\/p>\n

Farage shared the photos on X on Tuesday morning, with the caption: \u2018I\u2019ve never been too bad on the right wing.\u2019<\/p>\n

Along with the photos, Farage posted a further video, where he thanked the club for a \u2018lovely welcome\u2019.<\/p>\n

Farage said: \u2018It\u2019s a big end of the season for Ipswich, they\u2019re really in contention to go back into the Premier League.<\/p>\n

\u2018Let\u2019s hope they do, but if they don\u2019t, I think there\u2019s a chance here \u2013 I\u2019ve had a chat with a few people on the manager\u2019s job coming up next season and I\u2019m definitely on the shortlist.<\/p>\n

\u2018The trouble is, there\u2019s only one job I\u2019m really after.\u2019<\/p>\n

Reports from the Press Association suggest Portman Road Events, which manages private tours of the stadium, accepted a booking on behalf of Reform, but the full extent of the visit was not disclosed.<\/p>\n

The club, which is yet to comment publicly, did not officially extend an invitation to Farage, it is understood.<\/p>\n

Despite that, fans of the club have been quick to criticise the access afforded to Farage, with one supporter labelling it \u2018PR suicide for a family club\u2019.<\/p>\n

Another added: \u2018Doesn\u2019t matter where you sit politically, letting any politician use the club to generate publicity is absolute stupidity\u2019.<\/p>\n

A third decried the photoshoot as \u2018shameful\u2019, adding: \u2018How have you allowed this to happen. We used to chant Ipswich lives in racial harmony back in the 70s and 80s when the NF [National Front] were drumming up business at other clubs.\u2019<\/p>\n

Ipswich currently sit third in the Championship under Kieran McKenna and are two points off the automatic promotion places.<\/p>\n

Metro<\/strong> have approached the club for comment.<\/p>\n
