Thierry Henry says Bruno Fernandes \u2018killed\u2019 teammate Amad Diallo during Manchester United\u2019s Premier League win over Aston Villa.<\/p>\n

Fernandes produced a sensational display to help United beat top-four rivals Villa 3-1 at Old Trafford, providing the assist for two of the goals.<\/p>\n

Arsenal legend Henry was hugely impressed by Fernandes\u2019 performance and expressed his \u2018love\u2019 for the Portuguese playmaker during a segment on Sky Sports\u2019 Monday Night Football.<\/p>\n

Henry nicknamed the United captain \u2018Braino Fernandes\u2019 due to the fact \u2018he\u00a0doesn\u2019t\u00a0play football \u2013 he thinks football\u2019 and was a step ahead of his rivals throughout the game.<\/p>\n

\u2018If you can control the speed of your brain\u00a0you\u2019re\u00a0going to be faster than anyone on the field and this is what this guy has in abundance,\u2019 Henry said of Fernandes.<\/p>\n

\u2018I\u2019ve\u00a0said it\u00a0before,\u00a0he\u00a0doesn\u2019t\u00a0play football he thinks football. He did it so well again at the weekend.<\/p>\n

\u2018In the second half he was like the kid at school\u00a0who\u2019s\u00a0better than everyone, he just got on the ball and passed it forward whenever he could.<\/p>\n

\u2018Something that people\u00a0don\u2019t\u00a0often see with Bruno \u2013 because\u00a0he\u2019s\u00a0so great on the ball \u2013 is his work ethic. He can walk around the pitch if he wants because\u00a0he\u2019s\u00a0the best player but then he pops up defending.\u2019<\/p>\n

Henry also highlighted the moment Fernandes \u2018killed\u2019 Amad for not giving him the ball late on during the match.<\/p>\n

Fernandes had made a run behind Aston Villa\u2019s defence but Amad did not pick him out and the United captain was seen berating his teammate for a fair while afterwards.<\/p>\n

\u2018He wanted the ball [off Amad Diallo], he wanted the ball,\u2019 Henry added. \u2018He gets the ball after but\u00a0he\u2019s\u00a0flat-footed by that point.<\/p>\n

\u2018He wanted the ball from Amad Diallo, not Manuel Ugarte, and I wanted to show that because this is at 3-1 with just a few minutes to go.<\/p>\n

\u2018He killed Amad Diallo for at least seven seconds! That\u2019s\u00a0just him, he will argue with his\u00a0Dad\u00a0or with anyone but he still finds a way.<\/p>\n

Fernandes\u2019 two assists against Aston Villa took his overall tally for the season to 16 \u2013 the most by a Manchester United player in the Premier League.<\/p>\n
