The Six Nations will come to a thrilling conclusion on Saturday, with three teams still in the hunt to claim the title.<\/p>\n

France appeared to be in pole position to retain their title, but their shock 50-40 defeat to Scotland at Murrayfield means they still have work to do on the final weekend.<\/p>\n

The manner of Scotland\u2019s win also means that Gregor Townsend\u2019s side have a shot at winning the title for the first time since its expansion in 2000.<\/p>\n

Ireland are firmly in the mix, too, and will fancy their chances of getting a positive result against Scotland in Dublin, having beaten their visitors in their last 11 meetings.<\/p>\n

So, ahead of the final round of fixtures, what does each team need to win the title?<\/p>\n

How France can win the Six Nations<\/h2>\n

France have two big advantages heading into the final round of fixtures.<\/p>\n

Fabien Galthie\u2019s side play last, meaning they will know exactly what they need to do to defend their title.<\/p>\n

And in addition, they have a vastly superior points difference to Ireland and Scotland (+79, compared to +21 for Scotland and +16 for Ireland).<\/p>\n

As a result, a bonus-point victory against England will be enough to guarantee them the title regardless of what Scotland or Ireland do in their match earlier on Saturday.<\/p>\n

And should Ireland beat Scotland at the Aviva Stadium, then any win \u2013 bonus-point or not \u2013 will be enough for the defending champions.<\/p>\n

How Scotland can win the Six Nations<\/h2>\n

Scotland\u2019s quest to upset the odds and win the Six Nations will likely require them to record an impressive bonus-point victory against Ireland in Dublin.<\/p>\n

If they do that, and France fail to do the same against England, then Townsend\u2019s side will be lifting the trophy come the end of Saturday.<\/p>\n

But a win without a bonus point for Scotland would mean they would need a helping hand from England, and for Steve Bortwick\u2019s side to upset the French away from home.<\/p>\n

Should France and Scotland both lose, Scotland could still emerge tournament winners, but they would have to get two points whilst also denying Ireland a bonus point and maintaining their points-difference advantage.<\/p>\n

How Ireland can win the Six Nations<\/h2>\n

Given they sit two points behind both France and Scotland, Ireland will need a helping hand if they are to win the Six Nations.<\/p>\n

Andy Farrell\u2019s side will first need to beat Scotland at home before hoping that England can upset France on the road in Paris.<\/p>\n

A draw for France against England could also be enough for Ireland as long as they pick up more bonus points than Les Bleus.<\/p>\n

Saturday 14 March: Wales vs Italy (4.40pm, Cardiff)<\/p>\n

Saturday 14 March: France vs England (8.10pm, Paris)<\/p>\n
