Barcelona are considering a move for Chelsea winger Pedro Neto instead of signing Marcus Rashford from Manchester United, according to reports.<\/p>\n

Rashford joined Barcelona on loan last summer and has impressed this season with 10 goals and 13 assists so far.<\/p>\n

Barcelona have the option to sign the 28-year-old for \u20ac30 million (\u00a326.3m) at the end of the season as part of their loan agreement with United.<\/p>\n

However, Mundo Deportivo reports that Rashford is \u2018well-positioned\u2019 to join Barcelona on a permanent basis but the Spanish champions are still considering alternatives.<\/p>\n

The report claims that Neto is one of the attacking players on Barcelona\u2019s radar after receiving \u2018very positive technical reports\u2019 from the club\u2019s scouting department.<\/p>\n

Neto is currently in his second season with Chelsea after joining in a \u00a354 million deal from Wolves in August 2024.<\/p>\n

Across two campaigns for Chelsea, Neto has 19 goals and 15 assists in 93 appearances.<\/p>\n

On Friday, Neto was handed a one-game ban in the Premier League and a \u00a370,000 fine for his reaction to his red card in the 2-1 defeat away to Arsenal earlier this month.<\/p>\n

The Portugal international is also facing a potential suspension in the Champions League after UEFA opened an investigation for his push on a ball boy in the 5-2 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain.<\/p>\n
