{"id":3379,"date":"2026-03-13T05:16:59","date_gmt":"2026-03-13T05:16:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news678.top\/?p=3379"},"modified":"2026-03-13T05:16:59","modified_gmt":"2026-03-13T05:16:59","slug":"fact-to-file-ruled-out-of-ryanair-chase-at-cheltenham-festival","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news678.top\/?p=3379","title":{"rendered":"Fact To File ruled out of Ryanair Chase at Cheltenham Festival"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<figure class=\"img-container shareable-item wp-caption\">\n<div class=\"img-wrap\">\n\t\t<img fetchpriority=\"high\" width=\"594\" height=\"389\" src=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/GettyImages-2238332689.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=594\" class=\"article-image wp-image-27382274\" alt=\"Cheltenham racing festival 2025 day three\" decoding=\"sync\"\/>\t<\/div><figcaption>Fact To File won the Ryanair Chase last year (Getty)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Fact To File has been withdrawn from the Ryanair Chase on day three of the Cheltenham Festival.<\/p>\n<p>Owner JP McManus revealed on Thursday afternoon that the horse would not run unless the racecourse had more rain to soften the ground.<\/p>\n<p>The Willie Mullins-trained horse won the same race last year and was the evens favourite to retain his crown this week.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018I left it to Willy but I can overrule him,\u2019 McManus told ITV Sport less than two hours before the race. <\/p>\n<p>\u2018I have to say I found it, too much for him, I was a bit, part of the course, altogether, not to my liking.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018I\u2019ve walked the track every day, they\u2019ve done a great job, but I think they could\u2019ve done more, especially at the top of the track, not everyone would agree with me, if there\u2019s significant rain, he\u2019ll run, if there\u2019s not, he won\u2019t.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>After the withdrawal of Fact to File was confirmed, Mullins said: \u2018We waited all day for rain and it hasn\u2019t come.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018These horses are too hard to find and too hard to get.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018The ground is not good enough.
