\t<\/div>Peter Schmeichel has claimed that Liam Rosenior has told Filip Jorgensen that he is his first-choice goalkeeper for Chelsea.<\/p>\n
Robert Sanchez has started the majority of Chelsea\u2019s matches this season but the Spaniard was dropped for the 4-1 win away to Aston Villa earlier this month, and he was named on the bench for the Champions League last-16 first leg against Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday night.<\/p>\n
Chelsea managed to equalise twice against PSG at the Parc des Princes but a mistake from Jorgensen directly led to Vitinha\u2019s goal which put the Champions League holders back in front before Khvicha Kvaratskhelia scored twice late on to seal a 5-2 win for Luis Enrique\u2019s side.<\/p>\n
Liam Rosenior is now under pressure to drop Jorgensen ahead of Chelsea\u2019s Premier League match at home to Newcastle on Saturday.<\/p>\n
But speaking before Chelsea\u2019s defeat to PSG, Schmeichel claimed on CBS Sports that Jorgensen is now Rosenior\u2019s preferred choice ahead of Sanchez.<\/p>\n

He has now been replaced by, a Danish guy by the way, Filip Jorgensen.<\/p>\n \u2018My information is that Liam Rosenior has told Filip Jorgensen that he is from now on his number-one choice.\u2019<\/p>\n Speaking after Chelsea\u2019s defeat to PSG, Rosenior was adamant that both Sanchez and Jorgensen have the quality to be a first-choice goalkeeper for Champions League games.<\/p>\n \u2018Yes, both of them,\u2019 Rosenior said.<\/p>\n \u2018They have different qualities. Rob is outstanding from crosses, an outstanding shot-stopper. I am trying to win in the short term and win in the long term as well.<\/p>\n \u2018Filip has different qualities and one of his qualities, which he showed against Aston Villa, one of the reasons we won 4-1 at Aston Villa, we were so calm in our possession moments, which we weren\u2019t before, not just on Rob but on the whole team.<\/p>\n \u2018Coming here against a really high-pressing team, if you stay calm and play through the initial pressure, you can cause a lot of problems, which we did. It\u2019s just painful that we\u2019ve made that mistake in that moment to make the game 3-2 and now we are in a very, very difficult position in this tie now with the end result.\u2019<\/p>\n When asked about Jorgensen\u2019s reaction in the dressing room after his error against the Champions League holders, Rosenior said: \u2018I think the first thing, credit to him, he held his hands up in the dressing room.<\/p>\n \u2018Mistakes happen, I make mistakes. Everybody makes mistakes. Sometimes they\u2019re more costly and more painful than other times. This is one of those moments.<\/p>\n \u2018What we have to do for Rob and for Filip and for all of the players is look after each other. This is a big test of our character. We have a huge game in two days against Newcastle that we need to get back for.
