Joe Hart took aim at Igor Tudor after Antonin Kinsky\u2019s 17-minute horror show against Atletico Madrid, questioning the Tottenham manager\u2019s decision to play the rookie goalkeeper in such a high-pressure match.<\/p>\n

Eyebrows were raised ahead of tonight\u2019s Champions League last-16 first leg as Spurs\u2019 established number one Guglielmo Vicario was dropped from Tudor\u2019s starting XI in favour of Kinsky.<\/p>\n

Kinsky had previously made only two appearances for the club this season and the decision backfired spectacularly, with the 22-year-old Czech at fault for two of Atleti\u2019s goals in an astonishing first-half capitulation from the visitors at the Metropolitano Stadium.<\/p>\n

Marcos Llorente put Atleti in front after just six minutes and it was a shocking mis-kick from Kinsky that gifted the hosts possession in the build-up.<\/p>\n

Eight minutes later, another calamitous slip, this time from central defender Micky van de Ven, that allowed Antoine Griezmann to race through and double the lead, piling yet more misery on Tudor\u2019s side.<\/p>\n

There was a horrible feeling of deja vu as Kinsky produced his second blunder of the night just moments later to put the ball on a plate from Julian Alvarez, who made no mistake from close range for Atleti\u2019s third.<\/p>\n

And with Kinsky looking like he wanted the ground to swallow him up, Tudor made the call to take the youngster out of the firing line before the breathless first half drew to a close.<\/p>\n

\u2018I\u2019ve been trying to make sense of it and my overall feeling is that my heart is absolutely broken for the lad,\u2019 the ex-England and Manchester City goalkeeper Hart said on TNT Sports\u2019 commentary of the match.<\/p>\n

\u2018Look, I know it\u2019s a tough sport, it\u2019s the Champions League, it\u2019s such an important game.<\/p>\n

\u2018I said it before the game, he [Tudor] had an opportunity to give us the reason why he put him in goal and he didn\u2019t say.<\/p>\n

\u2018Was he getting an opportunity tonight? Was he just filling the the gloves for one game? Who knows? And I\u2019m sure that felt like the message given to him [Kinsky] on such a special night.\u2019<\/p>\n

Hart was almost lost for words as he attempted to analyse what he had seen after Kinsky\u2019s display, which brought back memories of Loris Karius\u2019 disastrous showing for Liverpool in the 2018 Champions League final.<\/p>\n

\u2018I\u2019m not making excuses for the lad, he\u2019s had a horrible 17 minutes,\u2019 he went on.<\/p>\n

\u2018A slip and that third goal was just everything that he didn\u2019t want to happen.<\/p>\n

\u2018I don\u2019t even know what to say, I\u2019ve seen the lot, the same as you [TNT Sports\u2019 commentary team of Darren Fletcher and Ally McCoist]. I know you\u2019re racking your brains from what you\u2019ve seen in football.<\/p>\n

\u2018I\u2019m just heartbroken from the lad, absolutely heartbroken. This Tottenham team is all over the shop at the moment.\u2019<\/p>\n

Giving his thoughts while on co-commentary duty for TNT Sports, Ally McCoist suggested Kinsky\u2019s Tottenham career could be \u2018finished\u2019 after his nightmarish performance.<\/p>\n

\u2018Finished. It\u2019ll finish him,\u2019 the ex-Rangers and Scotland striker said.<\/p>\n

\u2018There\u2019s no way back. Absolutely [that\u2019s on the manager]. You can make an argument he\u2019s got to do it as well, though, because you cannot make mistakes like that.<\/p>\n

\u2018They\u2019re schoolboy errors. It\u2019s proved he\u2019s made a mistake in changing the goalkeeper. That\u2019s an absolutely remarkable 14 minutes.<\/p>\n

\u2018The thing is, Atletico Madrid haven\u2019t even been asked to work for their goals. They\u2019ve not been cut open, not played great football, played through them; they\u2019ve been handed them on a plate.\u2019<\/p>\n
