Jack Wilshere struggled to hide his glee at the thought of his Luton Town side playing Tottenham in the Championship next season. <\/p>\n

The stars would have to align for that prospect to become a reality and, at present, it looks like Spurs dropping down a division looks a stronger bet than the Hatters enjoying an instant return to the second tier. <\/p>\n

Wilshere\u2019s side are currently six points adrift of a play-off place, albeit with a game in hand, but the former Arsenal star has already enjoyed a measure of success this season by steering his club to Wembley in the Vertu Trophy following their midweek win over Northampton Town.<\/p>\n

Arsenal\u2019s north London rivals, meanwhile, are hovering perilously close to the relegation zone following Thursday night\u2019s shambolic defeat against Crystal Palace.<\/p>\n

The future of interim boss Igor Tudor is already under review and Wilshere would love to be locking horns with a club he has regularly taunted in the past.<\/p>\n

In is pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday\u2019s game against Reading, the 34-year-old was asked if his \u2018dream\u2019 is to manage Luton in the English second division and face Spurs there.<\/p>\n

He replied, as per Sky Sports: \u2018The dream would be for me to manage Luton in the Championship. I watched a little bit of Tottenham last night.<\/p>\n

\u2018I\u2019ve said it a lot of times, and believe it or not, a lot of my family are Tottenham fans, and over the years we had some really good banter about it (Spurs getting relegated).<\/p>\n

\u2018At the moment, my dream is to manage Luton in the Championship, and it might be against Tottenham.\u2019<\/p>\n

Tudor , meanwhile, claimed to have more belief Tottenham would stay up despite another chaotic defeat on Thursday night. <\/p>\n

Plenty of Spurs fans headed for the exit doors at half-time and while Tudor\u2019s depleted group showed some spirit in the second half, this latest loss extended the club\u2019s winless run to 11 matches, which is a new club record in the Premier League.<\/p>\n

Tudor was hired last month to provide an upturn in results, but instead has become the first Tottenham manager in the Premier League era to lose his first three matches and had to face questions over his future after full-time.<\/p>\n

Asked if he expected the Spurs hierarchy to let him carry on, Tudor responded: \u2018I don\u2019t think in that direction. I have my job to do and that\u2019s all.<\/p>\n

\u2018Of course I understand the fans. It\u2019s a normal thing that happens in football. They are disappointed. They wanted more. We are aware of that.<\/p>\n

\u2018We also wanted to give more. Unfortunately this is the moment that we pay everything. One red card change everything<\/p>\n

\u2018I will tell you now maybe it will sound strange, but I believe more after this game than I believed before. I saw something.<\/p>\n

\u2018I need to choose the right guys because the boat is going in the direction that I want to go and needs to go and who is in the boat can stay. Otherwise they can bow down, or how do you say that, leave the boat.<\/p>\n

\u2018So, when the other players will come back and choosing the right (players), I\u2019m sure we will have a good team and the victories will come back. It\u2019s not easy to accept the moment where we are now but it is how it is.\u2019<\/p>\n
