Ashley Cole sees no reason why Arsenal cannot complete an unprecedented quadruple this season. <\/p>\n

The Gunners made hard worth of their FA Cup fifth round tie against League One Mansfield on Saturday and ultimately owed their nervy 2-1 win to Eberechi Eze\u2019s second half strike. <\/p>\n

Winning at this stage of the season, however, is all that counts particularly with the games coming thick and fast. <\/p>\n

Mikel Arteta\u2019s side are back in action in midweek as they aim to protect their 100% record in Europe against Bayer Leverkusen as the knockout stages of the Champions League begins. <\/p>\n

The Premier League leaders, meanwhile, have opened up a seven point gap at the top of the table and have a Carabao Cup final against Manchester City to look forward to later this month. <\/p>\n

Asked if Arsenal could sweep the board this season, Cole told Hayters TV: \u2018Why not? The players seem to have some sort of belief. <\/p>\n

\u2018The manager has a belief and slowly but surely they\u2019re winning game after game and if they can continue that form nothing is impossible and they\u2019ll have the feeling of getting the first one over the line. <\/p>\n

\u2018If they get the first win who knows what can happen. It breeds confidence winning a trophy.\u2019<\/p>\n

Cole was an integral part of the Arsenal side that last won the league 22 years ago and the majority of their fans would pick the Premier League as the one they want to win above all others. <\/p>\n

\u2018I think so with the consistency that Arsenal have shown, only eight games left in the season and seven points clear, it\u2019s Arsenal\u2019s to lose,\u2019 Cole added.<\/p>\n

\u2018The way they\u2019re finding that extra 5% or 2% in games to find a way to win it\u2019s going to have to be an absolute capitulation from Arsenal to lose the league.\u2019<\/p>\n

The style in which Arsenal have gone about their business could not be in starker contrast to Cole\u2019s ultra-stylish Invincibles, with Brighton\u2019s Fabian Hurzeler less than complimentary in the wake of Wednesday night\u2019s angsty game at Brighton.<\/p>\n

\u2018I\u2019d want my team to play but ultimately it\u2019s about winning and Mikel Arteta got challenged at the start of the season to break the curse,\u2019 said Cole. <\/p>\n

\u2018It\u2019s 22 years since they last won it. To position themselves above Manchester City and Liverpool and they\u2019ve done that so far. Ultimately at the end of the season if Arsenal\u2019s name is on the title he\u2019s done his job.<\/p>\n

\u2018We\u2019ve seen the quality of Mikel, his tactical understanding and he\u2019s doing a great job but to be compared with Arsene Wenger now is a little bit too premature. <\/p>\n

\u2018You\u2019ve got to continue to win and compete and hopefully he\u2019ll get his first title over the line and build on that.\u2019<\/p>\n
