Laura Woods rang into a live talkSPORT show to blast the \u2018most disrespectful comments I have ever heard\u2019 aimed at Arsenal following their victory over Brighton.<\/p>\n

The Gunners took a commanding step towards the Premier League title on Wednesday night thanks to a 1-0 win at the AMEX Stadium \u2013 with Manchester City crucially dropping points at home to Nottingham Forest on the same night.<\/p>\n

Arsenal managed just two shots on target all night, one of them scored by Bukayo Saka, with Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler blasting Mikel Arteta\u2019s side for time-wasting, describing their approach as \u2018nothing football.\u2019<\/p>\n

Former Newcastle United and Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew was part of talkSPORT\u2019s commentary team at Brighton. So unimpressed with Arsenal\u2019s tactics, he suggested that if they do go onto win the title, they will have an asterisk next to their name.<\/p>\n

\u2018At the moment, it looks like Arsenal are going to see it through,\u2019 Pardew said. \u2018There\u2019ll be an asterisk next to their name because you\u2019ve only got to look at them really in these type of performances and say, it\u2019s just a functional display.<\/p>\n

\u2018It\u2019s a professional, functional display. They\u2019re good, they\u2019re strong, they\u2019re powerful. But there is nothing beautiful about them. That\u2019s the truth.\u2019<\/p>\n

Woods was on duty for TNT Sports\u2019 live coverage of Arsenal\u2019s win but later in the night, called into the talkSPORT studios during The Sports Bar with Jamie O\u2019Hara and Jason Cundy.<\/p>\n

After the pair confirmed it was indeed Pardew who had aimed that dig at Arsenal, Woods let rip.<\/p>\n

\u2018Honestly \u2013 Alan, I love you, but that is the most disrespectful thing I\u2019ve ever heard,\u2019 she said.<\/p>\n

\u2018How can you say that? What, because we like to take free-kicks, set pieces and corners? I don\u2019t understand the thought process.\u2019<\/p>\n

Woods continued: \u2018That is mental\u2026 if Arsenal win the league, none of us fans, I don\u2019t care if it\u2019s boring I don\u2019t care if you lot don\u2019t enjoy watching us, why would we care if we\u2019re entertaining or not?<\/p>\n

\u2018I love it, I put my feet up and say whatever happens tonight, I\u2019ll be in a much better mood than Jamie O\u2019Hara, whatever happens.<\/p>\n

\u2018When we were playing entertaining\u00a0 football, everyone was saying: \u201cThey\u2019re playing lovely football but can\u2019t win a game\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u2018And now we\u2019re winning games in different fashions, different ways, the games evolving and you lot are bored.\u2019<\/p>\n
