Elon Musk believes production cars will outperform that, maybe even reaching half the speed of sound. There are ten nozzles that can draw on 600 liters of compressed air stored in carbon fibre-wrapped pressure tanks that take up every last bit of space in the body. These tanks are refilled with ordinary air while the vehicle is traveling, therefore the system does not require any special fuel. The Performance variant seats two people and has the airflow figured out, as well as a multi-mode suction system for both road driving and track racing. Thrust is the same as Performance, but with additional back thrusters that should get you going in under a second, which is extremely quick. The third is a beast dubbed Rocket, which can hold one person, has thrusters all around the outside, and is intended for lifts and short bursts of air time. Musk believes it looks better than most of the other previous human-driven automobiles by a significant margin, and even better than any James Bond car, claiming it is better than all of James Bond.
