Apple’s 16.2-inch MacBook Pro with the M5 Pro, priced at $2,499 (was $2,999) in the Space Black configuration with 24GB of unified memory and a 1TB solid-state drive, remains the cleanest answer for the money.

Inside, there’s an 18-core M5 Pro built on Apple’s M5 Fusion layout, which combines two third-generation 3-nanometer circuits into a single powerful piece of silicon. Six of those cores are the fastest class Apple has to offer, while the other 12 are dedicated to handling all of the long, drawn-out chores that make up a typical workday. This is joined by a 20-core graphics processor, each with a neural accelerator and a separate 16-core Neural engine, with memory bandwidth reaching a whopping 307GB per second. According to Apple’s own data, multithreaded work is about 30% faster than the previous Pro generation, and graphics are about 50% faster, while local model work is several times faster than the M4 Pro in terms of prompt handling and image production. In real life, this manifests itself in smoother 4K timelines, faster exports, and the ability to maintain a large project, a browser full of tabs, and a local model open at the same time without the fans interfering with the performance.

    Sale

Apple 2026 MacBook Pro Laptop with Apple M5 Pro chip with 18-core CPU and 20-core GPU: Built for AI…

FAST RUNS IN THE FAMILY — The 16-inch MacBook Pro with the M5 Pro or M5 Max chip brings next-generation speed and powerful on-device AI to personal…

BUCKLE UP — Along with a next-generation CPU, faster unified memory, and up to 2x faster SSD storage,* M5 Pro and M5 Max feature a more powerful GPU…

BUILT FOR AI — Apple silicon, and every major component that powers it, is designed to run demanding on-device AI workloads like LLM inference and…

This configuration’s storage capacity is 1TB, and it’s now on a faster bus than previously, with Apple boasting approximately double the read and write speeds, with higher-end configurations hitting 14.5GB per second. The starting point for this computer is now 24 gigabytes of unified memory, which is usually plenty for most editors, developers, and designers, with the exception of those working with disgustingly big local models.

Then there’s the screen real estate, which is likely another reason people buy these things. The 16.2-inch Liquid Retina XDR panel has a resolution of 3456 x 2234, or around 254 pixels per inch, mini-LED illumination, a crazily high 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, and P3 color. Sustained brightness is a whopping 1,000 nits, while HDR content can reach 1,600. ProMotion takes care of keeping the refresh rate adaptable, so it’ll happily go up to 120Hz, making scrolling and playing feel very quick, before settling back down when things get a little more sedate. Then there’s the notch at the top, which houses the 12-megapixel Center Stage camera. The package is completed by six speakers that support spatial audio and Dolby Atmos, as well as a three-mic array, which allows you to make and accept calls (and play music) without the need for a separate headset for the most of the day.

Ports have not been trimmed to make a thinner lid. The setup includes three Thunderbolt 5 ports, HDMI, a full-size SD card slot, a MagSafe 3 charging port, and a headphone jack. The N1 wireless chip from Apple beams in Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6. You can also power a number of, make that three, external monitors with this device. The box includes a 140w USB-C charger and a MagSafe lead, and rapid charging is compatible with any MagSafe charger with a power output of 140w or greater.

The battery is rated for up to 24 hours of movie playback (yes, really) or 17 hours of wifi surfing. In real life, that is, in mixed days of actual use, editing and surfing will result in less than 24 hours of video playback time, but it is still long enough that you won’t need to charge it all day (unless you abuse it like most of us do). After all, the battery is only slightly less than 100 watt hours. The laptop itself measures. It’s 66 inches thick at its thickest point and weighs 4.7 pounds, so it’s better suited to a backpack than a couch companion; it has the same aluminum body and keyboard that the other versions in this family have for years.

16.2″ MacBook Pro With M5 Pro (24GB RAM + 1TB SSD) Still Wins the Pro Laptop Price Fight

#MacBook #Pro #Pro #24GB #RAM #1TB #SSD #Wins #Pro #Laptop #Price #Fight

[8
2957,14563,461,531,1771,919,406,2244,10993,2464
post-23763","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-tech","tag-1tb","tag-24gb","tag-fight","tag-laptop","tag-macbook","tag-price","tag-pro","tag-ram","tag-ssd","tag-wins
https://news678.top/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/16-inch-macbook-pro-m5-pro.jpg",1280,853,false
https://news678.top/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/16-inch-macbook-pro-m5-pro-150x150.jpg",150,150,true
https://news678.top/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/16-inch-macbook-pro-m5-pro-300x200.jpg",300,200,true
https://news678.top/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/16-inch-macbook-pro-m5-pro-768x512.jpg",640,427,true
https://news678.top/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/16-inch-macbook-pro-m5-pro-1024x682.jpg",640,426,true],"1536x1536":["https://news678.top/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/16-inch-macbook-pro-m5-pro.jpg",1280,853,false],"2048x2048":["https://news678.top/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/16-inch-macbook-pro-m5-pro.jpg",1280,853,false
https://news678.top/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/16-inch-macbook-pro-m5-pro-1024x682.jpg",1024,682,true
https://news678.top/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/16-inch-macbook-pro-m5-pro-540x340.jpg",540,340,true
["GET
