Wired end to end, they make a 12.8-volt pack that climbs to 14.6 volts when full and holds about 192 watt-hours. A 100-amp battery management board watches cell voltage, balances the four cells, and cuts the circuit on overcurrent or a short. Spot-welded nickel strips, stacked so the joints can carry the current, tie the pack together. Cells of this chemistry tolerate a 3C discharge, which on paper means up to 45 amps, and they are rated for more than 3,000 charge cycles with less fire risk than the lithium-ion packs common in phone banks.

Getting wall power out of that pack required completely disassembling a stock 300-watt inverter and rebuilding it to suit. The folks at Gadget Industry (who run a popular YouTube channel by the same name) had to cut that inverter board in half, then sort of hotwire the traces together using jumper wires, lay the large capacitors flat on their sides between the cells, and even relocate the transformer to the other side of the board.

    Sale

            Anker Power Bank, 20,000mAh Travel Essential, Built-in USB-C Cable(Black)

87W Power to Share: Distribute 87W across three devices, with a single device receiving up to 65W, to rapidly charge iPhones, Samsung phones. This keeps the thing quiet until it needs to get some work done. They also included two USB-C boards, one of which is certified for 140 watts and can charge a device in return, and the other for 65 watts. They then re-ran the connectors and reduced the wires so that both boards could lay flat. Putting everything together, the AC outlet and two USB-C ports (which amount up to a good 500+ watts of combined output and can all be used at the same time) are a very amazing addition.

Charging is handled in two different ways. A 20-volt source can be fed directly into the 140-watt port for lightning-fast charging, and another separate boost converter and regulator combo sits there waiting for a simple 5-volt phone charger, boosting that voltage and sending it straight into the pack at about 2 amps up to 14.6 volts (just in case a diode blocks any reverse flow). To keep things neat, they mixed up a lovely dark green epoxy resin, poured it inside the case, slapped on a matching cover, and drilled holes for the AC socket, both USB-C ports, ventilation, and a power button. The seams were then sealed, giving the overall appearance of being semi-factory built, with no visible screws.

When they finally got around to testing it, they were able to run a whole desktop PC off the AC outlet while also fast-charging a couple phones from the two USB-C ports, which was both the whole aim of the design and most likely its limit. When you consider that the 192 watt-hour pack will be empty in approximately 15 minutes (at a combined power consumption of 505 watts and a reasonable 70% efficiency), you can see where things begin to get a little difficult. Load it down to around 100-150 watts after accounting for some inverter losses, and you’ll have a reasonable amount of time to operate the device.

Commercial packs in the same class typically have to give up the AC outlet or become too large to carry without a handle. Not here, however, as they took the inverter and cut it down to the point where it fits in the palm of your hand while still running a PC, charging two phones, and leaving room for slow charging from a wall brick that most people have sitting around.
[Source]

Gadget Industry’s One Hand Power Station Quietly Runs a Full Desktop PC

#Gadget #Industrys #Hand #Power #Station #Quietly #Runs #Full #Desktop

Four brick-shaped lithium iron phosphate cells, each rated 3.2 volts and 15 amp-hours, sit in…

[8
7755,824,8679,2341,14498,168,1350,4259,2153
post-23620","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-tech","tag-desktop","tag-full","tag-gadget","tag-hand","tag-industrys","tag-power","tag-quietly","tag-runs","tag-station
https://news678.top/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/gadget-industry-diy-homemade-power-station-bank-desktop-pc.jpg",1280,1280,false
https://news678.top/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/gadget-industry-diy-homemade-power-station-bank-desktop-pc-150x150.jpg",150,150,true
https://news678.top/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/gadget-industry-diy-homemade-power-station-bank-desktop-pc-300x300.jpg",300,300,true
https://news678.top/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/gadget-industry-diy-homemade-power-station-bank-desktop-pc-768x768.jpg",640,640,true
https://news678.top/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/gadget-industry-diy-homemade-power-station-bank-desktop-pc-1024x1024.jpg",640,640,true],"1536x1536":["https://news678.top/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/gadget-industry-diy-homemade-power-station-bank-desktop-pc.jpg",1280,1280,false],"2048x2048":["https://news678.top/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/gadget-industry-diy-homemade-power-station-bank-desktop-pc.jpg",1280,1280,false
https://news678.top/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/gadget-industry-diy-homemade-power-station-bank-desktop-pc-1024x1024.jpg",1024,1024,true
https://news678.top/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/gadget-industry-diy-homemade-power-station-bank-desktop-pc-540x340.jpg",540,340,true
["GET
