Alex Iwobiscored a stunning goal for Fulham against Tottenham in the Premier League on Sunday and said it was thanks to his unique groins.<\/p>\n

The 29-year-old helped pile the misery onto beleaguered Spurs as he scored Fulham\u2019s second of the day on 34 minutes at Craven Cottage.<\/p>\n

His effort doubled the home side\u2019s lead after Harry Wilson opened the scoring and a Richarlison goal in the second half proved to be just a consolation for Tottenham as Fulham won 2-1.<\/p>\n

Iwobi\u2019s was the pick of the goals as he powerfully found the bottom corner from distance with pinpoint accuracy.<\/p>\n

It was an unusual finish as he hit the ball with his instep from distance, but generated the speed and hit his target with such precision that it flew past Vicario.<\/p>\n

Not only was it an unusual finish, but the Nigeria international had an unusual explanation for how he hit the ball like that.<\/p>\n

\u2018Unique. That\u2019s the best way to put it,\u2019 said Iwobi as he described his goal.<\/p>\n

\u2018I don\u2019t think anyone has groins to open up their hip and side-foot it like that.<\/p>\n

\u2018When H [Harry Wilson] passes to me I had one thought to side-foot it. I do it in training, so my team-mates weren\u2019t surprised.\u2019<\/p>\n

Manager Marco Silva wasn\u2019t surprised either, but put it among Iwobi\u2019s best Fulham goals, of which there have been 19 since he joined from Everton in 2023.<\/p>\n

\u2018It\u2019s one of his best goals, he is capable to do these type of things,\u2019 said the Fulham boss. \u2018He is stronger when he tries to choose a corner and make a strong pass. It was a brilliant moment for him.<\/p>\n

\u2018It was a great performance overall, from an offensive point of view we enjoyed it \u2013 dynamic, creating chances, making it difficult for them.\u2019<\/p>\n

It was Iwobi\u2019s second goal in as many games as Fulham recorded back-to-back wins over Sunderland and then their London rivals.<\/p>\n

The Cottagers are up to ninth and have a chance of pinching a European finish if they can finish the season strongly.<\/p>\n

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher feels Iwobi will be a big part of that push, praising him as an underrated \u2018manager\u2019s dream\u2019 after his performance in the 3-1 win over Sunderland.<\/p>\n

\u2018For me, he\u2019s one of those players who can play different positions, he\u2019s a manager\u2019s dream, especially a Marco Silva dream,\u2019 Carragher said on Sky Sports.<\/p>\n

\u2018This is a guy who spent a lot of money to bring him from Arsenal to Everton. He then took him from Everton to Fulham. He\u2019s a huge fan and you can understand why.<\/p>\n

\u2018Physically, he\u2019s absolutely fantastic. The quality he shows, an assist from a set piece and a lovely finish as well, this quality he\u2019s got is actually underrated. We don\u2019t maybe speak about it enough.<\/p>\n

\u2018We speak about other Fulham players and rightly so, but he\u2019s certainly up there with the best players that Fulham have got this season.\u2019<\/p>\n

Fulham will look to make it three wins on the bounce when they host another London derby on Wednesday, welcoming West Ham to Craven Cottage.<\/p>\n
