Caoimhin Kelleher\u00a0has been left out of the Brentford\u00a0squad taking on Burnley\u00a0in the\u00a0Premier League\u00a0this afternoon.<\/p>\n

Brentford are looking to bounce back from their 2-0 defeat to Brighton last weekend and keep alive their hopes of European football next season.<\/p>\n

Keith Andrews\u2019 side start the day in seventh place, but could cut the gap between themselves and fifth-place Chelsea to just two points with a win at Turf Moor against relegation-threatened Burnely.<\/p>\n

However, the Bees have been dealt a major blow before kick-off after Kelleher was\u00a0not named in the squad making the trip up north to take on Scot Parker\u2019s side.<\/p>\n

The Republic of Ireland goalkeeper has been ever-present this season since joining from Liverpool over the summer.<\/p>\n

However, thankfully for Brentford, the 27-year-old\u2019s absence is not injury-related and instead a result of his partner giving birth.<\/p>\n

Speaking before kick-off, Andrews said: \u2018Caoimhin\u2019s partner had a baby. We are delighted for them and we wish them well but he couldn\u2019t play today.\u2019<\/p>\n

In his place, Hakon Valdimarsson comes in for his first start of the league season, with Brentford making four further changes.<\/p>\n

Michael Kayode\u00a0is back from injury and replaces Aaron Hickey at right-back, while Mikkel Damsgaard, Yehor Yarmoliuk\u00a0and\u00a0Kevin Schade\u00a0come in for\u00a0Jordan Henderson\u00a0and\u00a0Keane Lewis-Potter and\u00a0Vitaly Janelt.<\/p>\n

Burnley, meanwhile, make three changes from their impressive 1-1 draw with Chelsea last weeknd.<\/p>\n

Marcus Edwards misses out with an injury he picked up in training on Friday, with Jacob Bruun Larsen\u00a0replacing the winger.<\/p>\n

Lucas Pires and James Ward-Prowse\u00a0also come into the side, with\u00a0Lesley Ugochukwu\u00a0and\u00a0Kyle Walker\u00a0dropping to the bench.<\/p>\n

Burnley currently sit in 19th place and eight points of safety.<\/p>\n
