Manchester United legend Bryan Robson believes both Elliot Anderson and Adam Wharton would be a perfect fit for the club\u2019s midfield rebuild this summer.<\/p>\n
Signing at least one new midfielder will be a top priority this summer at Old Trafford. Casemiro is set to leave when his contract expires at the end of the season and while Kobbie Mainoo\u2019s future looks bright once again, reinforcements are needed.<\/p>\n
United are thought to have made Nottingham Forest star Anderson their top target with the 23-year-old, also admired by Manchester City, expected to have a key role to play for England at the World Cup this summer.<\/p>\n
Crystal Palace star Adam Wharton is another option while United have already tried to sign Carlos Baleba from Brighton this season.<\/p>\n
Each of those three players is expected to fetch a huge transfer fee but former United captain Robson would expect them to be receptive to an offer to come to Manchester.<\/p>\n
While there may be cheaper alternatives on the continent, Robson believes Anderson and Wharton fit the bill for what United need in the middle of the park.<\/p>\n
\u2018I think Adam Wharton and Elliot Anderson would definitely fit the criteria for what Manchester United need in the summer,\u2019 Robson told BOYLE Sports, who offer the latest football odds.<\/p>\n

\u2018They\u2019re both homegrown too and that\u2019s important. It\u2019s good to have a British core within the club.<\/p>\n
\u2018But foreign players do brilliant at United too and there\u2019s loads of them throughout the world that they\u2019ll be scouting so there might be a player out there who\u2019s young and has that ability to become a Declan Rice or Wharton or an Anderson.<\/p>\n\n

\u2018Adam Wharton and Elliot Anderson are both good players. It\u2019s about how much they\u2019re going to cost.<\/p>\n
\u2018You\u2019ve got to look at that to see whether you can buy one of them because I think they would both fit this United side well.<\/p>\n
\u2018That\u2019s if their clubs allow them to leave because you\u2019ve always got that wherever you go or the player doesn\u2019t want to come to you, but it\u2019s still very unusual that a player doesn\u2019t want to come to Manchester United.\u2019<\/p>\n
