Tottenham are interested in Eintracht Frankfurt winger Jean-Matteo Bahoya this summer, a player who has fallen off Arsenal’s radar in recent months.<\/p>\n

After maintaining their Premier League status on the final day of last season, Spurs are expected to make a number of signings this summer and revamp their squad.<\/p>\n

Roberto De Zerbi is keen to get rid of a number of players and bring in a string of new signings as Tottenham look to vastly improve on finishing 17th in each of the last two seasons.<\/p>\n

Various positions need strengthening, with wide forward being one of them, as Spurs also maintain an interest in Manchester City’s Savinho.<\/p>\n

The Brazil international was a target last summer, but remained at the Etihad where he made just 24 Premier League appearances and scored one goal.<\/p>\n

ESPN report that a deal this summer remains a possibility, with City now willing to let him go for around \u00a360m.<\/p>\n

Spurs do have other targets in the position, though, including Frankfurt’s Bahoya.<\/p>\n

The 21-year-old was a target for Arsenal last year, but the Gunners were put off by an asking price of over \u00a360m.<\/p>\n

Bahoya’s form was better in the first half of last season than the second and Arsenal’s interest has now reportedly cooled.<\/p>\n

However, according to German publication Bild, Spurs are still keen on the France Under-21 international, who is available for less than previously quoted.<\/p>\n

After Frankfurt finished eighth in the Bundesliga and missed out on Europe they must bring in some funds through player sales.<\/p>\n

Bahoya is one who could be let go, with Bild suggesting he could be sold for just \u20ac35-40m (\u00a330-34.5m), which could make him a gamble worth taking.<\/p>\n

Bahoya has not produced great returns in terms of goals, with three in 32 appearances, followed by four in 37 over the last two seasons.<\/p>\n

He has, though, shown off his express pace, clocking the fastest speed in the Bundesliga since records began in the 2011\/12 season.<\/p>\n

The rapid youngster clocked a speed of 23.09 mph (37.16 km\/h) against Bochum last year when he was still 19 years old. <\/p>\n

Spurs have already boosted their defence this summer, with Andy Robertson joining on a free transfer from Liverpool and Marcos Senesi expected to do the same, imminently, from Bournemouth.<\/p>\n

Tottenham are also working hard on a deal for Brighton centre-back Jan Paul van Hecke, but have seen two bids turned down already by the Seagulls.<\/p>\n
