Even after a thorough scrub, the sugar was not flowing or spinning properly. Turning up the temperature on the induction-heated head helped, but the output was still erratic and feeble. However, upon closer inspection, it became evident that the temperature sensor tucked away in that head was the problem. The wire that is supposed to tell the system how hot the aluminum surface is became ragged and out of place. At the same time, the sugar feed gears need some care after water had gotten in during the previous disassembly, making them all sticky. A simple clean and a test run with twenty-four volts verified that the motors were still functional \u2013 fortunately. With those details resolved, the effort switched to fine-tuning the target temperature.
